Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Basically, the profession of accounting is permissible except if the accounts are related to something Haram or an establishment that deals with Haram such as usury-taking bank or a wine-selling company etc. In this case, the work and its returns are forbidden since it is cooperation with Haram. Allah says: {………..but do not help one another in sin and transgression….} [5:2]
