assalam alaykum, ramadan kareem! i have been searching on this website especially since ramadan but i fail to find what iam looking for. my dear brothers please advice me how a pregnant woman who is not fasting is to spend her days in this holy month. i dont want the blessings pass me by.. please answer my question.

Fatwa:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

A pregnant woman who fears for her fetus or herself is permitted to break the fast and then make up for the days she missed fasting as clarified in Fatwa 86716.
Even though you may not be fasting, you may perform good deeds like other fasting people, like mentioning Allah, reciting the Quran much, performing the prayer on time, and performing supererogatory prayers, giving charity, performing Taraweeh prayer, attending circles of knowledge and the like. In Ramadan the reward is multiplied whether the person is fasting or breaking the fast for a valid reason.
Hence, our advice for our fasting sisters and non-fasting sisters is to exert extra efforts in performing good deeds as much as possible in this blessed month. One of you should reserve a time for the recitation of the Quran, like after Fajr prayer, and a time for reading beneficial books and learning the rulings of fasting after 'Asr for instance.
Organizing one's time helps taking advantage of this month, along with taking a pious company which helps one to do good.
