No Impurity Between Two Dry Things

Question:

What is the meaning of ( jaf 'ala jaf, taher bila khilaf)? Thank you in advance.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

This statement means that any dry impurity such as blood, dung, dead animal …etc., if touched by your dry hands or clothes, the impurity is not transferred to them. But if the impurity or what touches it is wet, then the impurity is transferred. The ruling is “There is no impurity between any two dry things.”

For more benefit that impurity is not transferred from a dry body to another dry body that it comes in contact with, please refer to Fataawa 301366, 350434, 370297, and 427297.

Allah knows best.
