Question:

Can women taste food in Ramadan?
Fatwa:
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, may Allah exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
Some scholars have declared that it is disliked for a fasting person to taste food. This is the opinion of Imam al-Shafi' and those who agree with him. Some of them, however, allow tasting food if there is a real need to do so. A cook may taste it with the edge of the tongue during cooking, then he/she should spit out what remained on her/his tongue. This fatwa was also given by Abdullah Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him.
Allah Knows best.
