Palestinian security men raided the office of a legislator of Hamas in the occupied West Bank on Monday, in an ongoing crackdown of Abbas forces against the Islamist group.
Samira al-Halayka of Hamas's Change and Reform bloc said they took away computers and documents and arrested her guard.
A security official in Hebron said officers confiscated leaflets and other documents that he claimed incited violence against the Palestinian Authority of President Mahmoud Abbas.
Abbas has stepped up a campaign against Hamas Islamists in the West Bank city, arresting some 15 activists and closing down four organizations which Hamas said were purely charitable.
Pro-Abbas Fatah forces hold sway in the West Bank, but they lost control of the Gaza Strip to Hamas last year, deepening the split in Palestinian ranks as Abbas seeks a comprehensive peace accord with Israel, which Hamas opposes.
Egyptian efforts to reconcile the two Palestinian factions have so far shown no sign of progress.
