Cajun Barbecue

Serves 4

-         4 cobs sweet corn, halved

-         1 orange sweet potato, cut into 1 cm/½ in thick slices

-         30 g/1 oz butter, melted

-         4 rump or sirloin steaks

 

CAJUN SPICE MIX

 

-         1 teaspoon ground black pepper

-         1/2 teaspoon chilli powder

-         1 teaspoon ground cumin

-         1 teaspoon ground coriander

-         2 teaspoons sweet paprika

Spice Mix: Combine pepper, chilli powder, cumin, coriander and paprika. Brush sweet corn and sweet potato with butter. Sprinkle spice mix over vegetables and steaks. Cook sweet corn and sweet potato on a preheated hot barbecue, turning frequently, for 10-15 minutes or until almost cooked. Add steaks. Cook for 3-5 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking. Serve immediately.
