{[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who has sent down upon His servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance.} [Quran 18: 1]

During Ramadan, many people engage in recitation and memorization of the Quran, and sometimes, reading it while paying attention to its exegesis and reflecting on its meanings. This is because the month of Ramadan is a season of goodness and encourages various acts of obedience. The slaves of Allah The Almighty feel energized to engage in worship, particularly because the devils are fettered, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed.
Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.} [Quran 2: 185]
Jibreel (Gabriel), may Allah exalt his mention, used to review and study the Quran with the Messenger of Allah, , during the month of Ramadan. Hence, talking about the virtues of the Quran during Ramadan is particularly beneficial because people usually study and read the Quran during this month.
Some of the virtues of the Quran:
1- It is guidance: Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah.} [Quran 2: 2] It means that people are guided by the verses and meanings of the Quran from the darkness of Shirk (polytheism), ignorance and disobedience to the light of Tawheed (Islamic monotheism), knowledge and obedience. The Quran guides people to what reforms their life in this world as well as in the Hereafter. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most suitable and gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward.} [Quran 17: 9]
2- It teaches the greatest lessons, gives the most effective sermons and tells the best stories: Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {We relate to you, [O Muhammad], the best of stories in what We have revealed to you of this Quran although you were, before it, among the unaware.} [Quran 12: 3]
3- It heals: Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.} [Quran 10: 57]
The Quran heals hearts where the diseases of doubts and suspicions linger, and it heals the body of other, physical diseases. However, only the believers benefit from its healing, as Allah The Almighty Says (what means):
·        {And We send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.} [Quran 17: 82]
·        {Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure."} [Quran 41: 44] [Tafseer ibn Katheer]
4- The Quran has settled the differences between the Jews and Christians in many of their issues, history and reports, such as their differences regarding ‘Eesa (Jesus) and his mother, may Allah exalt their mention and their differences regarding many of their prophets, may Allah exalt their mention. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {Indeed, this Quran relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree. And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers.} [Quran 27: 76-77] [Tafseer ibn Katheer]
Had the People of the Book been wise, they would have regarded the Quran as an authentic source to know their history and accounts of their predecessors. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.} [Quran 41: 42] However, how could the People of the Book have done so, when so many Muslims have neglected their own Book and followed the Jews and the Christians in everything?
The one who believes in the Quran knows facts that the Jews and Christians themselves do not about their religions, for many of facts in their religion and most of their books were distorted by evil rabbis and untruthful monks.
5- The glorious Quran contains knowledge related to many of the worldly sciences and has mentioned this either explicitly or with hints and references. Scientific researchers are still discovering new and important information based on studies on humans, animals, plants, fruits, earth, seas, space, the universe as well as cosmic and terrestrial phenomena. However, the Quran mentioned this information centuries ago. This has caused many disbelieving researchers to believe and follow the guidance of Islam.
