In the Name of Allah, The Most Merciful, The Ever Merciful‎

Assalaamu ‘Alaykum ‎
This is the first time I am writing to you as I used to read the consultations that are posted [on your website] and hope that you would help me. A year ago, I wore Niqaab (face veil), but now I feel distracted and do not know what I want.‎
Sometimes I feel that I am fine, but for the rest of the month I feel lost, as my heart is sick – not only my heart, but everything inside me. Sometimes I feel that I must memorize the Quran, but the following day I feel that I should take off the Niqaab, then I change my opinion once again. All the people around me say that I am a hypocrite and that I do not seek knowledge and cannot be successful at all. All the people view me as the worst person on earth and I too have always believed so.‎
Kindly help me as I want to be improve, especially before the month of Ramadan.‎

‎‎‎Dear sister,‎‎‎
Assalaamu ‘Alaykum
As for what you feel, this happens to many sisters like you when they start becoming religiously observant and you will move on from this stage soon, Allah willing. The most important thing is that you must not be hasty, but you should be patient and be keen on adhering to acts of obedience, especially wearing the Niqaab. You should recite part of the Quran everyday, say the morning and evening supplications and observe the obligatory prayers at their due times. You should use your spare time in Thikr (remembrance), supplication and seeking the forgiveness of Allah The Almighty. You should be keen on excelling at your studies to prove that Muslim women are capable of being excellent. You should organize your time and seek knowledge according to your abilities without putting yourself in difficulty. After starting your studies, you should pay great attention to it without neglecting any other aspect and be confident that you will be better with this program, Allah willing.
May Allah grant us success and guidance.
