Striving to Obey Allah The Almighty

Striving to obey Allah The Almighty is one of the meanings implied in Hajj. The Muslim pilgrim leaves his house and country heading to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam by plane, on board a ship or a mount, or even on foot to obey his Lord ignoring all the hardships and difficulties that he may face. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel…} [Quran 22:27]

Hence, the Muslim tires himself and wearies his mount for the Sake of Allah The Almighty. In this sense, Hajj is a form of Jihaad, as the Prophet, , said: “The Jihaad for the old, the weak, and the women is Hajj and ‘Umrah."
Allah The Almighty also guaranteed that He will save the pilgrim from the horrors of the Day of Judgment and admit him to Paradise, just as He guaranteed that to the Mujaahid (one who strives in the cause of Allah The Almighty). The Prophet, , said: “Three types of people are guaranteed [protected and rewarded] by Allah The Almighty: A man who leaves his house heading to one of the Masjids of Allah The Almighty, a man who leaves his house to fight in the cause of Allah The Almighty [Jihaad], and a man who left to perform Hajj.”[Ahmad]
Whoever neglects his obligations because of the difficulty or hardship that may face him, saying that this is hard and that is difficult, and the weather is hot or cold, or such statements, has not benefitted from this lesson.
