Question

Can muslims eat in a five star hotel where they keep all the halaal meat and fish together with pork in the same cool room? SALAAM.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

The mere presence of lawful meat with unlawful meat in one fridge does not make the lawful meat forbidden if each one of them is distinct from the other. However, if the lawful meat is stained by the impurity of the pork even by them touching each other while they are wet, then it is not permissible to eat it unless the impurity is removed by washing it with water. If it is cooked before it was washed, then it is not acceptable to eat it because the impurity has penetrated into it.
However, if any of the hotels or other similar places does not take care in segregating the wet lawful food from the wet unlawful food, then it is not permissible to eat its meat.
