Israeli soldiers invade the West Bank city of Salfit

A number of Israeli military jeeps invaded on Tuesday at dawn the central West Bank city of Salfit, broke into homes and searched them.

Local sources have reported that the soldiers handed a number of residents military warrants ordering them to head to a nearby military base for interrogation.

The sources added that a number of Israeli security officers, who accompanied the soldiers, participated in the search of local homes, and interrogated several residents.

Soldiers also fired several concussion grenades and gas bombs in a number of neighborhoods in Salfit.

In related news, several Palestinians have been treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation during clashes that took place after dozens of soldiers invaded Al-Ezariyya town, in occupied East Jerusalem.

Also on Tuesday at dawn, a number of military jeeps invaded Beit Sahour city, near Bethlehem, broke into the home of Khaled Shahin, and violently searched it; no arrests were reported.
