At least 93 people were killed in several cities of Syria in operations staged by forces loyal to the Syrian regime, activists said.

Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said that Assad forces killed 48 people in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 19 in Idlib, 7 each in Aleppo and Dera'a, 5 in Homs, 3 each in Hama and Latakiyah and one in Deir al-Zor.

SNHR also said 12 children and 4 women were among the dead and many others were injured.

Meanwhile, Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) said fierce clashes took place between the Assad forces and the opposition in the city of Raqqaa.

SRGC also said the Free Syrian Army held howitzer attacks on the regime forces and made major gains in Aleppo.

Assad forces staged air strikes in Idlib and demolished many houses, added SRGC.

Furthermore, SANA, Syrian national news agency, announced that regime forces made “major gains” against opposition fighters in operations across the country.
