British politician George Galloway has been expelled from the Labour party for his outspoken views on Iraq. He has been at the forefront of the British anti-war movement. Galloway angrily condemned the tribunal that had him thrown out: "It was a travesty of justice, a politically-motivated kangaroo court whose verdict clearly had been written in advance in the best tradition of political show trials." Galloway famously denounced Prime Minister Tony Blair and US President George W. Bush as wolves during the Iraqi conflict. He was found guilty of four charges, including inciting Arabs to attack coalition troops and for encouraging British soldiers to defy what he termed illegal orders. Galloway, MP for Glasgow in Scotland, was branded MP for Baghdad Central by his critics. He has also been accused of being an apologist for Saddam Hussein and of being on the pay roll of the Iraqi government. **PHOTO CAPTION*** British legislator George Galloway, an MP with Britain's ruling Labour Party, leaves Swinton House in central London, Thursday Oct. 23, 2003.
