The Sudanese government and southern rebels on Monday agreed on details of wealth sharing when the 20-year civil war ends, officials at the peace talks between the two sides said. In a joint statement issued here, the two sides said, "We are glad to inform our people all over the Sudan and the international community that we have reached an agreement on wealth sharing." According to the statement, the agreement covers the division of oil and non-oil revenue, the management of the oil sector, and the monetary authority in the country. The officials said Sudanese Vice-President Osman Ali Taha and the leader of the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) John Garang are expected to sign the document Wednesday.
