One Palestinian teenager has been shot dead and eight other Palestinians wounded in clashes with Israeli occupation troops in separate incidents on the West Bank. Eight Israeli border guards were also injured in the second incident. The shooting of the 17-year old came two days after Israeli soldiers killed four Palestinians in Nablus during some of the bloodiest confrontations there for at least two weeks. In Monday's clash, witnesses said Israeli troops opened fire on a group of Palestinians throwing stones at them in al-Ayn refugee camp. A 14-year old was wounded in the shooting. **Mourners shot*** On Saturday, Israeli forces opened fire on a group of mourners in Nablus at the funeral of three Palestinians killed earlier in the day also by Israeli gunfire. Witnesses said Muhammad al-Masri, a relative of one of those being buried, was shot in the head and seriously wounded during the funeral procession. He died shortly afterwards from his wounds. Those attending the funeral said occupation soldiers opened fire without provocation from a distance of 200 metres. **Walaja clashes*** Elsewhere on the West Bank, eight Palestinians and eight Israeli border guards were wounded on Monday during clashes in the village of Walaja near Bethlehem. According to Aljazeera correspondent in the West Bank, Khalid Amayreh, "Israeli troops usually raid the village under the pretext of destroying homes which were built without a building licence". "On Monday, the Israeli troops entered the town apparently to search for Palestinians who allegedly entered Israel without a permit". "The Palestinian villagers hurled stones at the invading Israeli troops", reports Amayreh "who reacted by indiscriminately shooting at people". Other reports say witnesses said the eight Palestinians were all part of one family who were injured when Israeli soldiers beat them on a site where members of the family were building a house. Three of the wounded and another member of the family were arrested by the border police following the scuffles. The Israeli public radio said eight soldiers were wounded in "clashes with villagers" during an operation to search for "Palestinian workers living illegally in the village". Walaja is a village of 2000 inhabitants which has been annexed by Israel, as part of Jerusalem, reports Amayreh. **PHOTO CAPTION*** Israeli soldiers lead a blindfolded Palestinian.
