Two commuter trains collided in the Zimbabwean capital Harare leaving 70 injured, three of them seriously, the deputy transport minister said. The collision occurred Wednesday when one of the drivers failed to yield to an incoming train carrying commuters from the city's working class suburbs, said Andrew Langa. "We have no report of any deaths. Seventy people were injured. Three of them, we understand, seriously," he told reporters at the scene. "This was due to human error," he added. The crash pushed four carriages off the tracks and a fifth one tipped over. Police cordoned off the area as panicked relatives arrived at the scene to find their loved ones. Eyewitnesses and passengers said the trains smashed into each other as they approached the platform at the station. "They were speeding," said one passenger. "One was hit around the middle."
