Eight Dead in Turkish Mine Tunnel Fire as Four Missing in Spanish Floods

Eight bodies were pulled from an underground tunnel in a copper mine in northern Turkey where a massive fire broke out.
Rescuers have so far brought eight bodies to the surface, the regional governor, Mustafa Kara, told the Anatolia news agency on Wednesday.
Turkish media previously reported four dead in the blaze, which broke out at the mine near Kure, some 350 kilometers (215 miles) northeast of Ankara.
**Four missing in Spanish floods***
Four people have gone missing in Spain as heavy floods hit parts of the country.
A 57-year-old man fell into the water in the town of Tauste in the eastern region of Aragon. Rescue workers are still searching for him.
Meanwhile three members of a family are presumed drowned after their jeep was swept away near the northeastern city of Tarragona.
The accident happened in the early hours of Tuesday when the driver decided to take a detour to avoid the flooded main road.
A fourteen-year-old boy managed to escape.
Torrential rains have wreaked havoc since Monday evening. Apart from the regions of Catalonia and Aragon, Cantabria, Asturias and southern parts of the Basque country have been affected.
