Two Russian spies serving life sentences in Qatar for assassinating an exiled Chechen leader returned to Moscow last night after they were handed them back to Russia. Russian state television reported the two men had arrived in Moscow on a special flight from Qatar. An official at the state Qatar News Agency (QNA) confirmed the two Russians were Anatoly Belaskhov and Vasily Bogachev, who were jailed in June for killing Chechen ex-president Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev with a car bomb on orders from the Kremlin. Russia at the time denied the men were responsible but admitted they were intelligence agents involved in counter-terrorism work. The attack shocked Qatar, which prides itself on its security and low crime rate, and sparked a diplomatic row between the US ally and Russia. **PHOTO CAPTION*** Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev.
