As salamualikum Sheikh, I would like to know about the family of rasuallah (sws)'s uncle hamzah bin abdul muttalib. We hear about the son's and daughters of all other shahaba's, but i have never come across any of his family. I would be greatful for the information. Jazakallah kheir

The scholars of biography and history stated that Hamzah had Ya’la, ‘Aamir, and their mother was Bint Al-Millah ibn Maalik ibn ‘Ubaadah Al-Ansaariyyah from the tribe of 'Aws, and ‘Umaarah, and his mother was Khawlah bint Qays ibn Qahd Al-Ansaariyyah, and ‘Umaamah and her mother was Salmah bint ‘Umays Al-Khath’amiyyah and she was the sister of Asmaa’ bint ‘Umays who was the wife of Ja’far ibn Abi Taalib .

Among his grandchildren were ‘Umaarah, Al-Fadhl, Az-Zubayr, ‘Uqayl and Muhammad who were the children of his son Ya’la.
