You are not right in being embarrassed about kissing your wife after having kissed the Black Stone. There is no doubt that glorifying the Ka’bah is evidence of true faith, but such an embarrassment could be extravagance in the religion and there is no evidence about it as far as we are aware. The Prophet and his Companions kissed the Black Stone but it was not reported from them that they were embarrassed about what you are embarrassed about.
In addition to this, there is no Sharee'ah evidence about kissing the clothing of the Ka’bah and all its walls, and it was not reported that the Prophet kissed anything else in the Ka’bah other than the Black Stone. Had kissing anything else been permissible, the Prophet would have done it.
Ibn Taymiyyah said: “Touching the walls of the Ka’bah other than the two Yemeni Corners (i.e. the Black Stone and the other corner opposite to it at the other end of the southern wall) and kissing anything else other than the Black Stone are not from the Sunnah….”
Besides, Shaykh Ibn Baaz said: “It is a Sunnah to kiss the Black Stone. As regards hanging onto the cloth of the Ka’bah or its walls or clinging onto it, then there is no foundation for all this and one should not do it as it was not reported that the Prophet or his Companions did so. Also, the same thing applies to touching or kissing the standing place of Ibraaheem (Abraham, i.e. for the sake of seeking blessings from it), all this has no foundation and it is not permissible to do it as this is among the innovations that the people have invented.”
Allaah Knows best.
