Asalamu alaykumNowadays there are videogames that have illuminati Symbols in them. Such as a pyramid with an eye on the top or pentagrams and othersIf a game has such symbols but these Symbols dont affect the game itself, is playing these games still haram? For Example you have a viddeogame and youre an Agent in a City that has been afflicted with a desease and you have to do everything to save the town. Now Somewhere in the town(for example on walls or streets or flags) are These Symbols, a pyramid with an eye, pentagrams and other satanic Symbols but they dont affect the game. You dont pray to them or do something with themthey are just there and you see them when you walk by or other Players in the game wear them on their suits or something like that. You basically dont really interact with these Symbols as i said are just therethe game isnt about these symbolsAreThese games haram and if yes what should i do if i own such games

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

One should avoid playing with the games that show the slogans of other religions and anti-Islamic organizations. However, if the game does not include glorification or submission to those slogans, and they only appear at random, then we have already issued some Fataawa that it is not forbidden to play with such games, based on the statement of some scholars that it is not forbidden to look at the cross –which is the greatest symbol and slogan of disbelief.

The symbols of things that not worshipped – such as what you mentioned in the question – are less serious and less harmful than the symbols that are worshipped – like the cross.

Finally, you should know that a Muslim should utilize his time with what is beneficial to him in his religion and his worldly matters, and he should avoid being addicted to games, that would waste his time. A person is responsible for his time, as in the Hadeeth that reads: “The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned how he spent his life.” [At-Tirmithi –who graded it as Hassan Saheeh]

Allah knows best.
