Question

I have been suffering from waswas, in daily activities and especially in prayer. It becomes difficult for me to pray as i get dirty thoughts and images in mind from the time i do wudu till i finish my prayer. I get scared if mathi comes as i suddenly feel something in my private part as soon as these thoughts come. Although i try to deviate my mind from it, it still stays for a while in my mind, i also have leukorrhea which makes me doubting if my wudu is intact or if mathi has come. I just cry thinking about it. I am unavle to pray properly by myself or behind an imam bcz of these thoughts which makes me doubt if mathi has come as there is sudden weird feeling felt in my private part and this automatic as soon as the thought comes. I sometimes keep repeating my wudu. Praying taraweeh becomes difficult and doubtful in this way. This only makes me cry. I was advised by a sheikh that these are most likely vaginal discharges and dont pay attention to them. But i am soo scred. Everyday activities and ibadah is becoming difficult for me. I wana be like every other person, normal in dayily life and ibadah.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

You should repel these whispers, ignore them and not pay any attention to them.

You should also not investigate the issue of your discharges, and if you become certain that you had a discharge, but you are not sure whether it is Mathi or ordinary wetness, then you may consider it to be ordinary wetness.

If this wetness continues, then perform ablution after the time of the prayer has started and then pray whatever you wish of obligatory and supererogatory prayers until the time of that prayer expires.

Do not give in to your thoughts and repel these whispers and illusions. With a minor effort on your part to repel these thoughts and not to give in to them, Allah will enable you to get rid of them with His Mercy and Grace.

Allah knows best.
