Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, Does Tafsir Ibn Kathir have many weak hadith?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

Tafseer Ibn Katheer is one of the best Tafseer books that we recommend for its benefit. Like similar books in this genre, it is not free of Dha‘eef (inauthentic) Ahaadeeth, whose inauthenticity is often underlined by Ibn Katheer himself.

This is recurrent in Ibn Katheer's book of Tafseer, as he was one of the remarkable scholars of Hadeeth. However, he also cited Dha‘eef (inauthentic) Ahaadeeth whose inauthenticity he did not clarify. There are revised editions nowadays in which the Saheeh (authentic) and Dha‘eef Ahaadeeth contained therein are identified.
