Can women taste food in Ramadan?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Some scholars stated that it is disliked for a fasting person to taste food. This is the opinion of the Shaafi'i School of jurisprudence and those who are of their view.

However, some scholars are of the view that if a fasting person needs to taste food, like when a woman is cooking, then she may taste it with the edge of her tongue and then she should spit it out.  This was the Fatwa issued by ‘Abdullah Ibn Abbaas .
