Assalamualaikum, I'm 19 years old. In this cyber world there are new inventions that we never imagined. I want to know if the CD-ROM that contains al-Qur'an is the same as the Mus'haf (the book of al-Qur'an). I mean must we make ablutions (Wudu) before touching it or place it in a high
place?. Thanks!

A group of scholars issued a Fatwa stating that the ruling concerning the Mushaf (the Arabic copy of the Quran) does not apply to a cassette or any object used to record the Quran in regard to the prohibition of touching them without ablution.
