Egyptian Muslim Brothers Campaign to Finance Hamas

On Monday, a Muslim Brothers statement announced a world-wide campaign will be launched to finance the HAMAS (Islamic Resistance Movement) administration in Palestine.

The United States is unjust in its decision to freeze financial aid to the HAMAS administration, said Muslim Brothers leader Mohammed Mahdi Akif. "We will ask each and every Muslim on earth to help the Palestinians to protest the unfair and cruel campaign against HAMAS."

Avoiding releasing any details about the initiative, Akif said only that it will be a worldwide project.

The Muslim Brothers have offices or sub-groups in 86 countries. The Egyptian organization will ask its supporters to donate one quarter of their income to HAMAS, Mohammed Hilal said on behalf of the Muslim Brothers.
