Palestinian Boy, Woman Killed in Israeli Shelling

A Palestinian boy and a young lady were killed at noon Tuesday in Israeli artillery fire that targeted a group of Palestinian civilians in Beit Lahia town to the north of the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Sa'eed Joda, the director of Kamal Edwan hospital, said that the severed body of 15-year-old Aref Ahmed Abu Qaida arrived in hospital along with six other casualties.

He added that one the casualties was the 24-year-old Mirvat Fayez Abu Sharkh who sustained serious wounds. She was later proclaimed dead.

Joda noted that the Israeli bombardment targeted a group of Palestinian civilian vehicles near Abraj Al-Nada in Beit Lahia.

Meanwhile, the AMB, armed wing of the Fatah Movement, on Tuesday claimed responsibility for firing three upgraded Aqsa-103 rockets from the Strip at the Israeli Sderot settlement in the Negev, occupied since 1948.

The AMB affirmed that the missiles had hit their targets and called for uniting all Palestinian armed wings to strike the "enemy" everywhere.
