Hamas: Israeli election means more extremism, racism

Hamas said Thursday that the victory of Israel's Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in the Kadima party elections Wednesday precedes a phase that would witness more aggression on the Palestinian people.

Hamas's spokesman Fouzi Barhoum said in a press release that the Israeli consensus to destroy the Palestinian people, writing-off their rights, and establishing an extremist racist Jewish state makes the Palestinians unhopeful of any results of the Israeli elections, reported Kuwait News Agency.
The political competition in Israeli is a competition among extremists and racists and any result means more extremism and racism, he said.
Livni's victory means that the Israeli policy of repression and aggression against the Palestinians would continue and that is a reason to continue resistance as a strategic option to defend their rights, he emphasized.
