Hamas returns all UN aid supplies seized "by mistake"

A U.N. aid agency said on Monday that Hamas has returned all of the aid supplies that it seized "by mistake" from U.N. warehouses in the Gaza Strip last week.

Ahmed al-Kurd, welfare minister in Gaza's Hamas government, said the supplies were taken by mistake.
"It was a misunderstanding between drivers," Kurd said. "We have told UNRWA they can come ... and take the goods. For some reason, they did not come."
Christopher Gunness, spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), said the return of the supplies meant the agency would resume all of its operations in the Hamas-ruled enclave.
