NABLUS, West Bank, (Islamweb & News Agencies)-In the West Bank, over 20,000 Palestinians attended a rally in Nablus of the Resistance Islamic group Hamas which has claimed responsibility for a number of Resistance bombings.
``An eye for an eye, a soul for a soul. We want equity in death,'' said a speaker at the assembly held in a football stadium and attended by officials from Arafat's Fatah faction. (Read photo caption below)
In Hebron, Al-Khalil, the Israeli occupation army withdrew after a three-hour raid on Friday, leaving behind the ruins of two Palestinian houses allegedly used by the Resistance in the strategic hilltop neighborhood of Abu Sneineh.
Unmoved by on-going Israeli brutality and threats of more of the same treatment and worse, Palestinian Resistance in Hebron said their will was now greater to continue their uprising and opposition to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.
``This is a lesson for Sharon for trying to enter Palestinian territory. We hope they'll be back again,'' declared one Palestinian fighter with a gun strapped across his chest.
Late Friday, the Israeli occupation army reported sporadic shooting incidents overnight in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The occupation army said Palestinian Resistance men opened fire at a Jewish settlement in Hebron and occupation troops responded by firing two anti-tank grenades.
Palestinian security sources said Israeli soldiers fired heavy machine guns and three tank shells at a Palestinians neighborhood in Hebron, setting off a fire in a shoe factory. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
