1- What the Prophet, 
, said about the Ansaar (helpers):
Al-‘Abbaas, may Allah be pleased with him, once passed by some people from the Ansaar, who were weeping after knowing that the sickness of the Prophet, , had become worse. He asked them, “Why are you weeping?” “We remembered our sittings with the Prophet”, they answered. Al-‘Abbaas, may Allah be pleased with him, then visited the Prophet, , and told him what they had said. Upon hearing this, the Prophet, , put on a black headband (or wrapped his head with a selvage). Then he went out and ascended the pulpit for the last time in his life. He thanked and praised Allah The Exalted and said: “I command you to be fair and kind to the Ansaar as they are my close companions to whom I have confided my private secrets. They have performed their duties and are still waiting for their rights. So, accept the good of the good-doers amongst them and excuse the wrong-doers amongst them.”[Al-Bukhari]

He thanked and praised Allah The Exalted and said: “I command you to be fair and kind to the Ansaar as they are my close companions to whom I have confided my private secrets. They have performed their duties and are still waiting for their rights. So, accept the good of the good-doers amongst them and excuse the wrong-doers amongst them.”[Al-Bukhari] This Hadeeth shows the Ansaar’s strong love for the Prophet, , and their grief at his sickness, and that they missed their sittings with him.

The Prophet's sickness grew worse to the extent that he would faint several times a day. Nevertheless, the Prophet, , was keen on leaving this world while being assured that his Ummah (nation) would not go astray after him. Hence, he was about to write a detailed document to be unanimously approved by the Muslims. However, when they disputed before him, he changed his mind and simply gave them three recommendations. Only two of these recommendations were reported, which were: “Drive the polytheists out of the Arabian Peninsula, grant the delegations the same allowances that I used to grant.”[Al-Bukhari]

The following were among the last words uttered by the Prophet, : “May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians for they have taken the graves of their prophets as places of worship. No two religions can co-exist in Arabia.”[Al-Bukhari]

Jaabir bin ‘Abdullaah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “I heard the Prophet saying three days before his death: ‘Let none of you die unless he has good expectations from Allah.’"[Muslim]

Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “The advice of the Prophet upon his death was to: ‘[Adhere to] prayer, and [be kind to] slaves.’ The Prophet was unable to articulate these words, and so he continued to utter them with a gargling sound in his chest.”[Ibn Maajah]

‘Abdullaah bin ‘Abbaas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “During his last illness, the Messenger of Allah, removed the screen [that separated him from the people who went to visit him], and his head was wrapped [in a cloth]. Then, he said thrice, ‘O Allah, have I conveyed?’ Then he added, ‘Indeed, [with my death] nothing remains from the glad tidings of prophethood except for a vision, which a righteous slave sees, or someone else sees for him. I have indeed been forbidding you from reciting [the Quran] during the bowing and prostrating positions [during prayer]. However, when you bow [during prayer], glorify Allah, and when you perform prostration, devote yourselves to supplication, for in that position, you are worthy of having your supplication answered.’”[Muslim]
