Thaabit Ibn Qays, may Allah be pleased with him:
His full name is Thaabit ibn Qays ibn Shammaas ibn Zuhayr ibn Maalik ibn Imru'ul-Qays ibn Maalik ibn Tha'labah ibn Ka'b ibn Al-Khazraj ibn Al-Harith Al-Ansaari Al-Khazraji. He, may Allah be pleased with him, is known as the public speaker for the Ansaar (Helpers) and the Prophet, 
. His nickname is Abu Muhammad, or Abu Abdur-Rahmaan. He witnessed the Battle of Uhud and the battles that followed it, and he died as a martyr in the Battle of Al-Yamaamah during the Caliphate of Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq, may Allah be pleased with him. The Prophet, gave him the glad tidings of Paradise by telling him that he will be among those who enter it. He, also said: "What a good man is Thaabit ibn Qays ibn Shammaas!" [Al-Bukhari in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, At-Tirmithi:Saheeh, Al-Albaani:Saheeh].

said in his book, Tahtheeb Al-Asmaa' Wal-Lughaat, that it is narrated in the books of the military expeditions that before Thaabit, may Allah be pleased with him, was martyred in the Battle of Al-Yamaamah, he was wearing a precious armor. When he died, a man came and took the armor. After that, another man saw Thaabit, may Allah be pleased with him, in a dream telling him, "I want to entrust you with my bequest, and do not ever say that it is just a dream as you will waste it that way. I was killed yesterday and a man passed by me and stole my armor. His home is in the most remote part from the people's homes, and beside his tent, there is a horse wandering about grazing, tied to a long rope. He has placed a bowl over the armor, and above the bowl, he has put a packsaddle.

After that, another man saw Thaabit, may Allah be pleased with him, in a dream telling him, "I want to entrust you with my bequest, and do not ever say that it is just a dream as you will waste it that way. I was killed yesterday and a man passed by me and stole my armor. He has placed a bowl over the armor, and above the bowl, he has put a packsaddle."Thereupon, you have to go to Khalid (ibn Al-Waleed, may Allah be pleased with him) and order him to send somebody to take it. Afterwards, when you return to Madeenah, proceed to Abu Bakr. Tell him that I am in debt to so and so, and that I have set free so and so from my slaves."
Subsequently, the man came to Khaalid, may Allah be pleased with him, and told him about the place of Thaabit's armor. Khalid managed to bring it back [and it was found] just as Thaabit, may Allah be pleased with him, described it in the dream. The man then told Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, about Thaabit's bequest, whereupon he carried it out. Thus, he became the only one who bequeathed after his death and his bequest was implemented. Moreover, he is from the noble Companions and he witnessed the Pledge of Ridhwaan.
