5. Abdullaah ibn Jahsh Al-Asdi, may Allah be pleased with him:
The Prophet, 
, dispatched him at the head of the platoon of Nakhlah in the month of Rajab, 2 A.H.
, dispatched him at the head of the platoon of Nakhlah in the month of Rajab, 2 A.H.He is nicknamed Abu Muhammad, and his mother is Umaymah bint 'Abd Al-Muttalib, the aunt of the Prophet, . Thus he was the maternal cousin of the Prophet, . He embraced Islam before the entrance of the Prophet, , to the house of Al-Arqam. He also undertook the two emigrations to Habashah (Ethiopia) and to Madeenah with his family where he witnessed the great Battle of Badr. He was martyred during the Battle of Uhud, as he asked Allah The Almighty to give him martyrdom and He granted him his wish.

He also undertook the two emigrations to Habashah (Ethiopia) and to Madeenah with his family where he witnessed the great Battle of Badr. He was the head of a platoon directed to Bani Asad after the Battle of Uhud, exactly in Muharram, 4 A.H.
His name is 'Abdullaah ibn 'abd Al-Asad, and his mother is Burrah bint 'Abd Al-Muttalib. Thus, he was the maternal cousin of the Prophet, . He embraced Islam during its early stages, and emigrated to Habashah with his wife. He returned afterwards and emigrated to Madeenah. He witnessed the Battle of Badr, and the Battle of Uhud in which he was wounded, but he recovered soon. The Prophet, , dispatched him at the head of a platoon to Bani Asad when he received news about their intention and gathering to raid Madeenah. He, may Allah be pleased with him, attacked them, upon which they dispersed. When he returned to Madeenah, the wound that afflicted him during the Battle of Uhud opened, whereupon he died.

He is Abu Abdullaah Al-Asadi Al-Qurashi, the famous and brave Companion, and one of the ten Companions who were given the glad tidings of entering Paradise. He was the first to unsheathe a sword in Islam. He is the maternal cousin of the Prophet, , and his disciple. He embraced Islam young, and witnessed Badr and all the battles with the Prophet, . 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, appointed him with other five Companions to choose his caliph from among themselves. He was rich and a successful trader. He went to fight against Ali ibn Abi Taalib, may Allah be pleased with him, on the day of Al-Jamal, but he abandoned the war. He was murdered by Ibn Jurmooz in Waadi As-Sibaa' near Al-Basrah, in the year 36 A.H.
, and his disciple. He embraced Islam young, and witnessed Badr and all the battles with the Prophet, . 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, appointed him with other five Companions to choose his caliph from among themselves. He was rich and a successful trader. He went to fight against Ali ibn Abi Taalib, may Allah be pleased with him, on the day of Al-Jamal, but he abandoned the war. He was murdered by Ibn Jurmooz in Waadi As-Sibaa' near Al-Basrah, in the year 36 A.H.8. Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqaas, may Allah be pleased with him:
He is Sa'd ibn Maalik ibn Uhayb ibn 'Abd Manaaf Al-Qurashi Al-Zuhri, and his nickname is Abu Is-haaq. He was the maternal cousin of the Prophet, .
.Sa'd, may Allah be pleased with him, was a great Companion, and he was among the ten who were given the glad tidings of entering Paradise. The Prophet, , appointed him as a leader of a platoon to Al-Kharaar to impede the way of a caravan belonging to the Quraysh. He witnessed the Battle of Badr and all the battles that followed it, and he also fearlessly defended the Prophet, , during the Battle of Uhud. He led the Battle of Al-Qadisiyyah, then he settled down in Koofah and made it an abode for the Arabian tribes. He built a house there, and consequently, the area came to be populated. He remained the ruler over it during the Caliphate of 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him. 'Uthmaan, may Allah be pleased with him, also appointed him on this post, but he discharged him after a while. He went back to Madeenah where he died after losing his eyesight. He was buried in Al-'Aqeeq, a place outside Madeenah. There is some dispute over the year of his death, although the most correct opinion is that he died in 55 A.H.

He was the maternal cousin of the Prophet, . His nickname is Abu Muhammad Al-Qurashi, and he was known before Islam as 'Abd Al-Ka'bah, but the Prophet, , changed his name to 'Abdur-Rahmaan. He was a great Companion, and one of the ten who were given the glad tidings of entering Paradise. He was also among the six men who were appointed by 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, to be councilors after his death. He embraced Islam before entering the house of Al-Arqam, and he undertook the two emigrations to Ethiopia and Madeenah. The Prophet, , appointed him as a leader of a platoon to Dawmat Al-Jandal. When he reached there, he stayed inviting people to Islam for three days, until their king embraced Islam and gave his daughter in marriage to Abdur-Rahmaan, may Allah be pleased with him. He witnessed all the battles with the Prophet, , and he was a rich man, a trader by profession. He was generous, munificent, and courageous. He died in Madeenah, 32 A.H.
