A group of Muslim worshippers on Monday morning tried to prevent Jewish visitors from entering Al-Haram Al-Shareef.
The Muslims were standing at the Mugrabi Gate in order to prevent the entrance of the Jewish visitors, and a confrontation erupted between the groups. After police intervention, the Muslims left the area and the Jews were allowed to enter the site.
Al-Haram Al-Qudsi was opened last week to non-Muslim visitors.

Meanwhile, Yasser Arafat has appointed ex-preventive security chief Jibril Rajoub as his national security head.
Palestinian sources said Sunday the post would be called "head of national security in the Palestinian Liberation Organization," a position that predates the PA era.
Rajoub, who was fired by Arafat a year ago, said Sunday, "I've spoken a number of times during the past days with Yasser Arafat and others in the Palestinian leadership, and it appears that I'll soon be given a top security position."
