An American soldier was killed in an attack in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Saturday evening, the US military has said.
A roadside bomb killed the soldier from the First Armoured Division and wounded another.
Earlier on Saturday, two US soldiers were killed in Fallujah, the US military says.
A US Black Hawk helicopter which crashed on Friday near Tikrit killing all six people on board was shot down, a senior American commander has said.

US officials did not confirm for nearly 24 hours that the Black Hawk was shot down, as opposed to being brought down by mechanical failure.
"We do believe it was brought down by ground fire," Lieutenant-Colonel Steve Russell told Reuters news agency on Saturday.
Hours after the crash, F16 jets dropped three bombs in the area and early on Saturday morning troops backed by armoured vehicles swept through Tikrit, destroying several abandoned buildings the US believes were used by insurgents.
"This is to remind the town that we have teeth and claws and we will use them," Colonel Russell said.
"We are targeting those areas where we have had attacks on coalition forces. We want to eliminate those threats."
A curfew lifted for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan was also reimposed.
The downing of the Black Hawk was the third attack on a US helicopter in two weeks.
Last weekend, a Chinook helicopter was shot down, killing 16 soldiers in the deadliest single strike on US forces since they invaded Iraq and last month another Black Hawk was brought down outside Tikrit.
Correspondents say the attacks on helicopters have raised alarm among US commanders that insurgents have been watching the American's methods and tactics over the past six months and are now starting to hit back.
The Black Hawk went down on a riverbank along the Tigris River about a kilometre from the US base in Tikrit.
