Fourteen passengers in two buses were killed while many others were injured when the vehicles collided at the KM63 Jalan Kuala Lipis-Gua Musang near Chegar Perah early this morning. Kuala Lipis CID OCPD Supt Shakaruddin Che Mod said 13 of the passengers died on the spot while another died at the Kula Lumpur Hospital at 6.15am today. So far, the express bus driver has been detained. He added that the buses, a school bus and an express bus travelling the opposite direction collided at about 1am. He said 10 of the victims of the school bus and three from the express bus died and many others injured. Supt Shakaruddin added that the school bus was on its way from Kota Baru to Kuala Lumpur while the express bus was on its way to Kota Baru from Kuala Lumpur.
