The Rabat-based Islamic Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), will organize an Islamic seminar in the French city of Lale on May 19.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Othman Al-Tuwaijry, director-general of ISESCO, and Martine Aubry, mayor of Lale city and chairperson of the European Cultural Capital for the year 2004, will jointly inaugurate the seminar.
Dr. Tuwaijry will host a dinner in honor of the participants tomorrow. In the inaugural speech, he will shed light on the efforts of ISESCO in promoting dialogue among civilizations.
Several eminent scholars, university professors and academics will attend the seminar, which is to be organized by European Islamic Council and the Federal Council of French Muslims. The seminar will discuss a number of topics, including Islam and European identity.
