Two Israelis Killed, Seven Wounded in Hamas Rocket Attack
Two Israelis, including a child, were killed and seven were wounded on Monday morning, when two home-made Qassam rockets landed on the southern town of Sderot. The mother of the dead child was reported to be seriously wounded in the strike. According to emergency services, one of the rockets landed just meters from a pedestrian, killing him on the spot. One of the rockets - fired by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip - landed close to a kindergarten on the town's Jerusalem Street, in the Neveh Eshkol meighborhood, and the second hit a nearby coffeeshop. Hamas claimed responsibility for this attack. **PHOTO CAPTION*** An Israeli investigator inspects where a Qassam rocket landed in Sderot. (AFP)
