Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

If your husband allows you to reside in that country and you are safe from any temptation there, then it is permissible for you to stay and continue the studies while observing the religious requirements; for more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 82730.

However, it is a confirmed fact that there are many benefits and advantages for both spouses when the wife resides with her husband, especially that it is usually possible to continue the same studies in the country where your husband resides.

As regards acquiring religious knowledge, a Muslim should endeavour to acquire it as it is beneficial and useful. It is not necessary to abandon all other sciences and allocate all one's time in order to acquire this religious knowledge.

It is permissible, to take contraceptives for a sound reason, one of which is studying.

For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 89833.

Allaah Knows best.
