Assalamu Alaykum, Before the advent of prophet Muhammad PBUH, there was a muslim sect following the correct teachings of Eesa PBUH (The original injil). Did the original uncorrupted gospel in its original language exist when Prophet Muhammad PBUH received his revelation? Thank you

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

We have not come across any evidence which proves whether or not the authentic Injeel (Gospel) existed before the advent of the Prophet . However, the fact that some people followed the right religion which ‘Eesa (Jesus) came with at that time, does not necessitate the existence of the authentic Injeel. People might have conveyed this religion without the existence of that Injeel which was revealed on ‘Eesa (Jesus) .
