Eternal Hell for those who die as non-Muslims
Fatwa No: 11656

Question

Will any person who dies as a non-Muslim dwell eternally in Hell?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

 Those whom the Message of the Prophet have reached, whether they are Jews, Christians or adherents to other beliefs, and do not embrace Islam before they die, they will be in Hell forever. Allaah says (what means):

{Indeed, Allaah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.}[Quran 4:48]
{And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.}[Quran 3:85]
{But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - the Fire is his promised destination.}[Quran 11:17]

In a Hadeeth on the authority of Abu Hurayrah the Prophet swore by Allaah that any Jew or Christian who hears about him but does not believe in what he was sent  with and dies in that state of disbelief, will be an inmate of Hell. [Muslim]
