Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

If the total number of days in which you see blood (your regular period) and the days of purity after it in addition to the time duration when you see those blood particles does not exceed 15 days, then those particles are considered as menses (part of your period), and the time of purity prior to you seeing them is a valid time of purity in which your prayers and fasting are valid. So, you should perform Ghusl when the regular bleeding stops, and then if you see those particles within the timeframe when it can possibly be menses, that is, in a way that the total duration - including the bleeding prior to it and the time of purity in between – does not exceed fifteen days, then in this case, you do not pray when you see the blood particles and you perform Ghusl after they discontinue. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 83621 and 100850.

However, if it is not possible for them to be considered as menses, that is, if their duration added to the regular period of bleeding and the time of purity in between exceeds 15 days, then in that case, you are considered as having blood outside your monthly periods (Istihaadhah), so you should count the days of your regular period and whatever exceeds that as extra-menstrual bleeding (Istihaadhah), which is not an impediment for fasting and praying.

On the other hand, if the bleeding continues throughout the entire time that it is permissible for you to pray – when you have bleeding outside your monthly period – then you should perform Wudhoo' when the time of each prayer starts, and with the effect of this ablution, you pray  one obligatory prayer and however many voluntary prayers that you wish until the time of that prayer is over.

For more benefit on menses and bleeding outside your monthly regular menses, please refer to Fataawa 129256 and 121505.

Allaah Knows best.
