Treatment for bewitchment Fatwa No: 26787
- Fatwa Date:8-3-2012
A lot of weird things happen to me and I have begun to think that I am bewitched. I do not know what to do? Should I go to someone who can undo magic spells?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger. You should not be worried because everything takes place according to the predetermination and destiny of Allaah The Almighty and no one can interfere with it. Allaah the Almighty Says (what means): • {Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allaah, Lord of the worlds.}[Quran 7:54] • {Indeed, all things We created with predestination.}[Quran 54:49] • {And has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.}[Quran 25:2] If Allaah The Almighty has determined something all of creation cannot prevent it, no matter how hard they try. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): • {"Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allaah? If Allaah intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allaah; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."}[Quran 39:38] Many other Hadeeths (narrations) and verses call for relying on Allaah The Almighty and never being afraid of anyone but Him, the Almighty. Moreover, you should know that Allaah The Almighty has created a cure for every ailment – cures may be known to some and unknown to others. Allaah the Almighty Says (what means): • {And We send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.}[Quran 17:32] Please beware of magicians and soothsayers because seeking their help weakens a Muslim’s creed and undermines faith. Instead, you should adhere to the Quran as it is useful for everything. Only those who have tried this realize this fact.
Allaah Knows best.
