All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
We have previously clarified that it is impermissible to taunt or ridicule a Muslim in Fatwa 86381. The prohibition is rather more emphasized for the wife in her relationship with her husband given that he is her caretaker and guardian. Allaah The Exalted has enjoined upon the wife great duties towards her husband; please refer to Fataawa 9623 and 92026.
The wife's arrogant attitude towards her husband is considered recalcitrance on her part giving him the right to discipline her according to the Sharee'ah as underlined in Fatwa 85402.
You should advise her using the evidence provided in the Fataawa to which we have referred you; you are also advised to supplicate Allaah to bless her with guidance and righteousness.
Adoption is prohibited in Islam; none of the religious rulings pertaining to paternity applies in case of adoption. If the real father's name is known, then the child must be attributed to him; otherwise, a common name of an unspecified person such as ‘Abdullaah or Abdur-Rahmaan or the like can be assigned to him without attributing him to a particular person. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 129799.
Allaah Knows best.
