In this answer: https://www.islamweb.net/en/fatwa/268306, you have explained that prayer and Ruqyah (healing through Quranic recitation and supplication) are an effective treatment for all disorders, and also that recitation of the prescribed Ruqyah is an effective remedy for all diseases, what do you mean by disease/disorder? For example, if someone has been run over by a car but he is still conscious and realizes that he is severely injured, with broken bones, can he recite the Quran? Also, if I cut my hand and the bleeding does not stop, can I recite the Quran?
All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Disease and disorder means any kind of ailment/illness.
As for seeking recovery and cure with the Quran, you should know that it is legitimate to ask Allah by means of the Quran to heal broken bones and all ailments and to ask Him to grant a quick recovery, to ease the ordeal, and to help the sick endure the suffering.
Allah, the Exalted, says (what means):
- {And We send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.} [Quran 17:82]
- {O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.} [Quran 10:57]
'Aa’ishah narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, entered upon her while a woman was treating her or reciting Ruqyah over her, so he said, 'Treat her with the Book of Allah.' [Ibn Hibbaan]
Moreover, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, "Whoever recites the Quran, then let him ask Allah by it..." [At-Tirmithi; Al-Albaani: authentic]
'Aa’ishah narrated that during the death sickness of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, he used to blow (on his hands and pass them) over his body while reciting Surat An-Naas and Surat Al-Falaq. When his condition worsened, she used to recite them for him and blow (on his hands) and let him pass his hands over his body for the blessing in them. [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, "In the Faatihah, there is a cure for all illnesses." [At-Tirmithi, Ad-Daarimi, and Al-Bayhaqi (with similar wordings)]
Ibn Al-Qayyim said, "The Quran is the complete healing for all ailments of the heart and body and all the ailments of this world and the Hereafter. But not everyone is guided to use it for the purpose of healing. If the sick person uses the Quran for healing in the proper way and applies it to his illness with sincerity, faith, complete acceptance, and firm conviction, fulfilling all its conditions, then no ailment can ever resist it. How can ailments resist the words of the Lord of the heaven and earth..." [Zaad Al-Maʻaad]
Allah knows best.
