Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

The reality of Shirk (polytheism) is to dedicate an act of worship to other than Allah. Allah Says (what means): {So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].} [Quran 2:22]

Al-Bukhaari said in his Saheeh about the interpretation of this verse:

"(Do not attribute) Partners whom you worship besides Him; rather, worship Him Alone, and sincerely devote your worship of Ruboobiyyah to Him (believing that Allah is One is actions like Creating, Sustaining running the affairs of the universe)." [End of quote]

Shirk (polytheism) is related to the aspect of worship and not to customs. The issue of seeking beauty or showing it to others has nothing to do with Shirk.

However, the problem is in establishing an affectionate relationship with a non-Mahram man, or when a woman exposes her beauty in a manner that non-Mahram men can see her. This is a sin and an act of disobedience to Allah that necessitates repentance. Allah Says (what means): {…and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess,….} [Quran 24:31]

The conditions for repentance are highlighted in Fatwa 86527, so please refer to it.

It is also obligatory to repent from the practice of magic as it may lead the person to disbelieve in Allah. Hence, one must totally refrain from it and avoid viewing websites that show magic in the future.

It should be noted that adornment according to what is legislated is something good, especially a woman adorning herself to her husband and vice-versa. 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ood narrated that the Prophet said: "Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty." [Muslim]

Additionally, Ibn ‘Abbaas said: "I like to adorn myself for my wife just like I want her to adorn herself for me."; because Allah Says (what means): {And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable.} [Quran 2:228]

Allah knows best.
