Salam aleikum I have a question and i would need your advice insha Allah. If i have money ( inheritage from my parents ) and i want to open a taxi company, meaning buy a few cars used for taxi and so on and my husband asked if he could be a driver of my company but my husband has in the past drink alcohol regurarly ( which is haram of course ) and crashed one of his own cars bcz of being drunk and before crashing his car he was often driving drunk so i think he is not reliable to be a driver in my company and now my husband is angry at me bcz i told him he cant work for me and the valid reason behind it , basically i dont trust him working for me . Does he have the right to be angry at me bcz i dont allow him to work for me ?
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His Slave and Messenger.
The woman has the right to manage her wealth as she sees it to be in her interest, and there is nothing wrong with preventing someone, whether her husband or another, from working in her company if she fears harm from them. The husband has no right to be angry with his wife for this and blame her for not allowing him to work.
However, the wife should be wise in dealing with her husband's desire to work in her company. She can advise him and help him quit drinking alcohol by reminding him of the benefits of repentance for both religious and worldly matters. Communication and mutual understanding are essential in such situations to maintain a harmonious relationship.
Allah knows best.
