Reporting to places of disobedience is a sin in itself Fatwa No: 85375

My question is related to the question regarding eating with people who drink wine on the same table. What about sitting at a table with people not drinking alcohol while other people are drinking alcohol at other tables, like in a wedding?Jazakum Allah.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Prohibition of sitting at a table with people who are drinking wine is proved in a sound Hadith recorded by Abu Dawood, Ahamd and al-Darimi from Jabir (RAA) that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not share in the table spread with food on which wine is served."
Although the above Hadith indicates the state when wine is served at the same table, this very table and those are close to it are subject to the same Shari'a ruling. In other words, even though you (for example) do not join them in drinking wine, you are sinful since you do not forbid what is bad in addition to sitting with them. Also, just visiting such places of bad actions and disobedience and showing not hate to them constitute a sin.
It is reported that Umar Ibn 'Abdul Aziz (may Allah's mercy be upon him) received the news of some group drinking wine and there was a fasting person among them. So, Umar ordered to punish them all and he recited Allah's statement: {And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Qur'ân) that when you hear the Verses of Allâh being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allâh will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell.} [4:140]
Allah knows best.
