Reciting the Salah aloud when alone, Days the Prophet fasted Fatwa No: 87830
- Fatwa Date:1-6-2004
Is right to read out by yourself in Salah in Fajr, Maghrib and Isha out loud when the time is for Salah. Does the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) fast on every Mondays and Thursdays.. Is it sunnah to grow your hair
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
It is a Sunnah for a person praying individually to recite loudly in prayers what should be said loudly in Maghrib, Isha and Fajr.
As for fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, it is desirable. In a Hadith reported by Tirmizi, who graded it as good that, Ayisha (Radiya Allahu Anha) narrated: “The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) used to seek to fast on Mondays and Thursdays.”
As regards leaving one’s hair without cutting it, this is a matter which differs according to the hair. Some hair is desirable to be cut, like the hair of the armpit, and the hair of private parts; other hair is permissible to be cut like the hair on the arms and legs and the hair of a man’s head.
However, it is disliked for a woman to cut her head hair.
And there is some other hair which is forbidden to cut, like the hair of eyebrows, and a man’s beard. But it is desirable for a woman to cut the hair on her face and moustache if any.
Therefore, the ruling differs according to the difference of hair.
Allah knows best.
