- Staying in Makkah after the Farewell Tawaaf (circumambulation). In such a case, the last of the pilgrim's deeds will not be the Tawaaf.
- Leaving Makkah before making the Farewell Tawaaf, which is one of the obligatory actions of Hajj.
- Some pilgrims make Sa‘y after Tawaaf believing that the Farewell Tawaaf requires Sa‘y . The valid approach, however, is that the Farewell Tawaaf does not require Sa‘y .
- Walking backwards while leaving Al-Masjid Al-Haraam after the Farewell Tawaaf with the pilgrim’s face towards the Ka‘bah, without turning and looking before him. This is an innovated matter in religion.
- After making the Farewell Tawaaf, some pilgrims stand by the door of the Masjid, face the Ka‘bah, bid farewell and use a certain supplication for bidding farewell to the Ka‘bah. It is not proved that the Prophet, , did so.
